In an effort to bring the power of an hCG diet alternative to patients nationwide, Diet Doc Has created a revised hCG diet plan featuring low dose naltrexone, a great hCG replacement for weight loss.

ATLANTA, March 2, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- While the HCG diet has a proven record of providing successful weight loss, some find the drastically reduced calorie intake to be troublesome. However, because it provides such astounding weight loss, the hCG diet is still utilized for off label weight loss use. Doctors are able to prescribe hCG, or human gonadotropin, for off label uses such as weight loss. The powerful hormone stimulates the body's ability to burn fat, and this combined with a low calorie diet plan can produce drastic results for all body types.

In an effort to bring the power of an hCG diet alternative to patients nationwide, Diet Doc Has created a revised hCG diet plan featuring low dose naltrexone, a great hCG replacement for weight loss.

Low dose naltrexone helps users lose weight by reducing appetite, and helping to reduce the hormones in the body responsible for emotional eating and snacking.

Diet Doc's new medical weight loss plans use Low Dose Naltrexone to produce great results, similar to the hCG diet. Aside from easier weight loss, LDN has been found to provide the following benefits to users:

Increases natural endorphins, dopamine;

Improved effects on mood, well-being;

Decreases inflammation;

Increases sex drive;

Safe to use long term;

First improvement is in mood / sense of wellbeing;

Clinical strength LDN is extremely safe when used for weight loss, with nearly zero side-effects being reported. Dieters can use Diet Doc's LDN as a long-term appetite suppressant without fear of discontinuing use abruptly, as LDC's safety is very well established. In addition, Diet Doc's LDC can be used in conjunction with other Diet Doc clinical weight loss aids like Oxytocin, MetWell, Sermorelin, Lipotropics like vitamin B-12 injections, and nearly any other, allowing users to experience much easier weight loss than with dieting alone.

The Diet Doc Weight loss system is simple. Interested dieters simply schedule a free consultation with a licensed Diet Doc physician, conducted conveniently and privately from the patient's own home via Skype or telephone conference. During this consultation a licensed doctor will evaluate the patient, using complex questionnaires and medical insight to expose underlying causes for weight gain.

Each new patient receives a free initial clinical evaluation, as well as unlimited doctor consultations for as long as they remain on the Diet Doc medical weight loss system.

Similar to the hCG diet plan, after the patient's initial consultation, Diet Doc begins working with their licensed nutritionists to develop an individualized diet plan based on each individual's personal factors including age, weight, long term goals, and current health. Each diet plan is a little different because it is designed around the dieter's individual factors.

To complement the medical weight loss plan, Diet Doc patients have access to the company's complete line of prescription weight loss aids, helping boost results to nearly 20 pounds per month. All prescription diet aids are produced in an FDA approved compounding pharmacy located in the United States, and all prescription medication is delivered directly to each client's door, saving the patient time, money, and unnecessary effort.

Protect Yourself With Health Insurance

By searching for health insurance quotes online, you can get a lot of good information in a very short period of time. Using the internet to get health insurance quotes, allows you to compare many health insurance options side-by-side without a lot of pressure. You can become well-informed and make good choices regarding which companies you wish to contact before you ever pick up the phone and talk with an agent.

Health insurance can be expensive if you have to pay for it yourself and don't have an employer who offers a group policy. Short term medical insurance can cover you for six months to a year, while you find something else that works for you. It will protect you in the event of a major illness or injury and is often very affordable.

Learn how to read your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements that are provided by your insurer. These statements show exactly what benefits were applied to every healthcare procedure and what you as the patient will be responsible for. This is not the bill however so don't try to pay off of it, your insurer will send you an invoice separately.

Medical insurance is a must have today. With premiums so high, it can seem like it is impossible to get a good rate. It is not hard if you stay as healthy as possible and reduce your risks to serious injury and disease. The fewer pre-existing conditions that you have and quitting dangerous habits can lower what you will pay in total costs towards your medical insurance.

Getting health insurance after the fact is not really a great way to handle sickness or injury, but in some states in the country, you can actually get an insurance policy after you've fallen ill to help take the edge off of the bills. This broker will have the information that you will have to search for and it is quite helpful to get their assistance when looking for a new health insurance policy for you and your family.

To avoid a plan that you don't want, see what your state says is required. Each one will have a list of things that health insurance must cover. Specific treatments have to be covered and specific things must be provided. Check this before purchasing a plan. Make sure these things are provided with your policy. You have to make sure that you and them are following the laws and that everything that is required is obtained.

Arm yourself with knowledge and put it to practical use because your health is far too important for anything but the best that you can provide for it!

Los Angeles clinic puts underprivileged community at greater risk of contracting coronavirus, health care workers say

The clinics serve an area where the proportion of people living below the poverty line is more than double the national average, according to census data. Many patients live in multifamily homes or homeless shelters and have chronic medical conditions, compounding their chances of contracting and spreading the coronavirus, the eight professionals said. African Americans and Latinos have been disproportionately affected by the coronavirus, according to a recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"My fear is that once it hits this patient population, it will be the epicenter of L.A.," one of the professionals said.

When the coronavirus broke out, some of the professionals called patients to reschedule routine visits and refill prescriptions over the phone, but they were quickly reprimanded by management and told not to call their own patients, they said.

"This is the first place I've worked that as a provider I'm not given the autonomy to care for them [my patients] medically," one of them said after having encountered resistance to suggesting that patients with non-urgent needs be moved to telehealth visits.

"When you're suppressing the expertise, the knowledge, the morals, the morale of providers who are here to take care of an underserved people, you're almost just kind of re-oppressing them," the professional said.

Telehealth and telemedicine for coronavirus: What it is and how to use it now

What is telemedicine?

According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, telemedicine is defined as “the practice of medicine using technology to deliver care at a distance. A physician in one location uses a telecommunications infrastructure to deliver care to a patient at a distant site.”

Testa says his hospital is using telemedicine both within and outside the hospital to manage the influx of patients needing care. “We're using video visits inside of our hospitals, and inside of our emergency departments, to minimize exposure to our staff, as well as exposure to other patients who are immunocompromised,” he says.

How to use telemedicine

A good place to start is to check with your health care provider, provider system or hospital’s app for a telemedicine portal, download it and follow the prompts.

“We've been doing video visits for over a year and a half — we've already done about 15,000 of them,” says Testa. “What we've learned in interviewing our patients is that more often than not, they had plans to either go to their primary care doctor and it is off-hours, or they had planned to go to a brick-and-mortar urgent care. Virtual urgent care is just more convenient than those options.”

At NYU Langone, for example, Testa says these video visits are fully integrated into patients’ online health profiles, and visible to their primary care doctors who can easily see what labs or X-rays have been ordered.

If you don’t have a primary care doctor and prefer to use urgent care when you need it, virtual urgent care apps, like PlushCare, Doctor on Demand or MDLive, can give you virtual access to a doctor, 24/7.

Ryan McQuaid, CEO and co-founder of PlushCare, says that under normal circumstances, patients who use his telemedicine platform tend to use it as a primary care provider.

He says these patients usually fall into three buckets: They use telemedicine to manage ongoing conditions, like depression, diabetes or hypertension; everyday care issues like hair loss or birth control; and urgent care issues, like cold and flu, sinus infections or UTIs. And their patients aren’t just tech-forward millennials — McQuaid says elderly patients have begun to embrace telemedicine.

Is the Time Right for Skilled Nursing Facilities to Embrace Telehealth?

Peck launched his previous company, Call9, in 2014, pushing telehealth into nursing homes as a means of reducing unnecessary and costly emergency transports and hospitalizations. But the success stories were few and far between, Medicare rules for telehealth were far too restrictive and the reimbursements weren’t enough to support the programs. Peck folded Call9 in 2019, vowing to try again.

“We talk about the shift to (value-based care) all the time … but we haven’t made the switch,” he told mHealthIntelligence in mid-2019. “We need to flip that switch from fee-for-service … and start rewarding (providers) for bringing value to patient care.”

Peck now thinks that switch is happening. He launched Curve Health in April 2020, fortified by $6 million in seed funding and an ongoing pandemic that was fueling an embrace of virtual care.

In November, a study conducted by researchers at the University of California in Irvine and published in the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine helped prove his point. The study found that a telehealth platform used by six SNFs reduced unnecessary transfers by as much as 80 percent.

“We have a lot of momentum now,” he said recently. “Doctors are using telehealth much more now (then before the pandemic), and payers want this as well. The world has changed even if our mission never changed.”

Peck says the coronavirus forced the nation’s healthcare industry to embrace telehealth much faster than it would have without the pandemic. For SNFs and assisted living facilities, that transition was much needed. They’ve always been on the front lines of the pandemic, dealing with people much more susceptible to catching the virus and incurring its worst effects, including death. A telehealth program could literally be a life-saver for them.

Curve Health is one of many telehealth vendors to jump into the space, and Peck says it’s important for SNFs to study the platform before choosing a partner. Some will partner with local physician groups or agree to partner with those recommended by the SNF, while others offer their own physician network. It’s also important to examine the technology used, to make sure SNF staff have an immediate link to an on-call physician and with nearby hospitals when triage and transfer are needed.

Safety for Essential Providers Using Telemedicine and Telehealth

It is no longer necessary for patients to drive or commute to an appointment, which can be difficult for some patients with no immediate access to transportation. Thus, healthcare workers have more time on-site for appointments with patients who require a physical checkup in-office.

Patients often visit providers when feeling sick, so it can be a risk to everyone at a healthcare provider’s office, including staff and the other patients. Implementing telehealth means providers can limit the spread of infection of not just COVID-19 but other infectious diseases as well.

Telehealth technology can also be utilized for the prescreening of patients prior to their appointment and visitation to the office. With a prescreen, providers can ascertain as to whether it is necessary to conduct an on-site checkup, thereby reducing patient numbers attending the office.

Enabling providers to see the patient’s home environment can also help facilitate diagnosis. For example, a patient with certain allergies could be suffering from a chronic condition due to unknown variables within the home environment.

Providers can determine the issues within the home that could be exacerbating patient symptoms. Patients can also better explain to doctors their daily routine using their home environment and, therefore, acquire a more accurate diagnosis.

Telehealth saves healthcare provider costs while also saving patients money. Patients no longer need to travel, thereby reducing money spent on transportation, and the ability to take a consultation from home or even at work, limits the sick days or amount of time patients need to be absent from work.
